The Grizzlies played the Lakers tonight. They played without Rudy Gay, their best player. Everyone was hoping for the return of Z-Bo, their second best player, but sadly, he didn't make an appearance. Still, the team played with so much heart that they led the game until the final minute. The end came in double overtime, and unfortunately the Lakers came out on top. It was pretty depressing, but it served as a reminder of what these guys will be able to do when they have Gay and Z-Bo back on the team. This is a team with tremendous heart and the ability to best any opponent. I'm proud to be a Memphis Grizzlies fan.
I chose to name my first blog "Painted Pink Roses" because pink roses have had a constant presence in my life since I was a little girl. This blog exists to share the beauty and love of home, family and daily life and to keep beautiful traditions alive. Painted Pink Roses is dedicated to my grandmother and great-grandmother, two glorious women who passed their love of beautiful things to me, my mother and my sister. And yes, roses are my favorite flowers, but I do not discriminate - I have all colors in my garden. I do think the pink ones smell the sweetest though. I hope you enjoy my blog!
In 2013, Painted Pink Roses moved to the Gerald & Joan Blog. To continue following our story, click here.
